My love of sports and fitness began at the age of 5 when I trained and eventually competed in gymnastics. Over the years, I trained and competed as a sprinter, in CrossFit, and distance running.

In the last 10 years, as well as being PT qualified, I have worked as a fitness instructor with a passion for group exercise classes. I specialise in high intensity interval training (HIIT), which involves repeated short bursts of high intensity exercise followed by brief rest periods.

I have been a Les Mills instructor, and now teach Metafit which is a fun and challenging body weight-based HIIT workout.

Metafit™ - HIIT TRAINING

Fast. Fierce. No Equipment.

Metafit is a fun and challenging body weight-based HIIT workout. Originally created by a Royal Marine, Metafit uses short intense bursts of work, functional exercises and recovery periods. It's an effective workout requiring no equipment, which increases fitness levels, builds strength, and improves posture, endurance, and mobility. It's also accessible for ALL fitness levels. Anyone looking for a quick and effective workout - join me at the Earthbeat Centre in Saltburn on Thursday evenings at 6.15pm or Fridays at 12.15pm.

IN CASE YOU MISSED ANYTHING

Absolutely! Metafit is all about building a strong foundation first. I'll guide you through proper technique and form, offering modifications to suit your starting point. Once your technique is solid, I'll help you safely increase the intensity to get the most out of each session.

You don't need any weights, but if you like to have a mat for press-ups off your knees or stretching at the end, then feel free to bring one. Apart from that, some hydration and perhaps a small towel!

Each class starts with a warmup designed to get your body ready for the workout, followed by the Metafit workout of the day. It ends with a stretch and cooldown.

For most people, 2 to 3 Metafit sessions a week is the sweet spot. That's enough to see results in strength, fitness, and fat-burning—without overtraining. Metafit is intense, so rest and recovery are just as important as the workout. I'll help you plan the right balance based on your goals and schedule. Start with 1 and you'll see the benefits!
